Tatweer Misr partnered with Innovety to design and deliver three flagship programs—the Tatweer Misr Innovation Competition (2021 & 2022)and the Innovation Olympics (2023)—positioning itself as a corporate leader in sustainability-driven innovation.
As part of our broader Innovation Strategy services, Innovety managed the full competition cycle: nationwide outreach (700+ applicants in 2021, 610+ in 2022), Eye Opener workshops, Bootcamps, and Pitch Nights that selected 4 winners annually. Parallelly, the Innovation Olympics, co-run with the UN Global Compact, mobilized Egypt’s academic communities around SDGs 9, 11, 13, and 15, generating 30–50 innovative sustainability concepts.
Together, these initiatives created a visible pipeline of youth-led solutions, built innovation skills among hundreds of young talents, and reinforced Tatweer Misr’s brand as a thought leader in sustainable real estate and community development.
By 2020, Egypt’s real estate sector was under pressure to align with global sustainability priorities and demonstrate leadership in addressing climate and urbanization challenges. For Tatweer Misr, a pioneer in integrated real estate solutions, the challenge was twofold:
Designing national innovation competitions
Innovety structured two cycles of the Tatweer Misr Innovation Competition (2021 & 2022), covering outreach, application design, scoring criteria, Eye Opener workshops, Bootcamps, and final Pitch Nights. A clear funnel model was applied: hundreds of applications → 70–100 teams shortlisted → ~20 teams in Bootcamp → 10–15 finalists → 4 winners annually.
Selected teams went through intensive Bootcamps on ideation, problem validation, business modeling, pitching, and market alignment. Innovety curated expert mentors to coach participants and refine their solutions into investable business cases.
With Tatweer Misr and the UN Global Compact, Innovety launched the Innovation Olympics, aligning themes with SDGs (industry, sustainable cities, climate action, life on land). Outreach included trivia challenges, academic partnerships, and warm-up events. The cycle produced 30–50 sustainability-focused concepts, of which top projects pitched at a high-profile closing ceremony.
Tatweer Misr’s innovation leadership was amplified through digital campaigns, pitch events, and media coverage, showcasing winners and positioning the company as a sustainability trailblazer engaging youth and academia.
