The InnovEgypt program equipped final-year ICT and engineering students with entrepreneurial and innovation skills across 25 universities nationwide. Innovety designed and delivered 7-day bootcamps covering innovation management, idea generation, and business modeling—training 1,000 students in total.
From this pool, 100 students received advanced coaching on starting their own businesses, and 50 linkages were forged with national incubators to support the most promising ideas, advancing objectives closely aligned with our Socioeconomic Development strategy services.
This created Egypt’s first large-scale university pipeline for student-led startups, embedding innovation as a pathway to both employability and entrepreneurship.
By the early 2010s, Egypt’s ICT sector was rapidly expanding, yet university graduates—especially engineers—were ill-prepared to launch startups or contribute to innovation-driven companies. Most had strong technical knowledge but lacked training in entrepreneurship, innovation management, and business modeling.
Without targeted interventions, Egypt risked producing graduates who could code and design systems but could not build sustainable businesses or attract investment.
Innovety rolled out intensive 7-day innovation bootcamps across 25 universities, targeting final-year engineering and ICT students. Training modules included Innovation Management Fundamentals, Idea Generation Techniques, and Management of Technological Innovation.
Students learned how to apply business modeling frameworks, validate ideas, and structure startups. Interactive exercises fostered teamwork and problem-solving.
From the 1,000 participants, 100 students were selected for deeper coaching. Innovety guided them through business planning, pitching, and preparing for incubation.
Innovety brokered 50 connections with incubators and accelerators, ensuring promising student startups had pathways to continued support, mentorship, and funding.
