At a Glance

EgyptInnovate became Egypt’s first national innovation platform—a one stop online destination for inspiring, educating, and connecting innovators, entrepreneurs, and youth.

Led by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) through The IT Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), and The Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC), Innovety designed and developed the platform, created diverse content and e-learning modules, and mapped Egypt’s innovation and entrepreneurship players—showcasing our innovation consulting services.

This transformed the platform into a dynamic digital hub hosting expert Q&A, an Idea Bank, practical toolkits, ecosystem mapping, and an interactive calendar—empowering thousands of users to learn, share, and launch new ideas.

The Context

Before EgyptInnovate, there was no central mechanism to inspire, empower, and connect Egypt’s innovators and entrepreneurs.

The innovation landscape was highly fragmented—universities, startups, corporates, and government actors operated in silos, while aspiring entrepreneurs lacked access to practical tools, expert guidance, and a supportive community.

At the micro-level, individual innovators faced limited training opportunities, scarce seed funding, and a cautious societal mindset toward entrepreneurship.

At the meso-level, universities struggled to integrate entrepreneurship education, intellectual property laws remained underutilized, and collaboration across sectors was minimal.

This gap meant that brilliant ideas often stalled before becoming viable businesses, leaving Egypt’s youth—especially aspiring entrepreneurs—without a clear pathway to develop and scale their innovations.

Key pain points:

  • No central platform: Innovators lacked a single digital hub for knowledge, networking, and support.
  • Limited practical resources: Few accessible toolkits, courses, or expert guidance for aspiring entrepreneurs.
  • Weak cross‑sector linkages: Minimal collaboration between universities, startups, corporates, and government.
  • Cultural barriers: Entrepreneurship was often viewed as risky, with little societal or institutional encouragement.

The Solution

Designing Egypt’s first national innovation platform:

Innovety transformed the vision of a unified digital hub into reality by designing EgyptInnovate — a one‑stop online destination for innovators, entrepreneurs, and youth.

Working alongside MCIT, ITIDA, and TIEC, we built the platform’s architecture and user experience, ensuring it could host diverse features and scale to meet the evolving needs of Egypt’s innovation community.

Developing rich content and learning resources:

We created comprehensive innovation and entrepreneurship content for the platform— from articles and case studies to expert interviews and thought‑leadership pieces.

Innovety also produced nine interactive e‑learning modules and a suite of practical tools and toolkits, giving users actionable resources to develop and launch their ideas.

Building interactive features to connect the ecosystem:

To make EgyptInnovate a living community, we integrated an ‘Ask the Expert section’ where users could submit questions and receive tailored guidance, an ‘Idea Bank’ for sharing and refining new concepts, and an ‘Interactive Map’ of Egypt’s innovation and entrepreneurship players.

The platform also featured a ‘Dynamic Events Calendar’ highlighting local and regional opportunities, along with the latest news and updates from Egypt and beyond.

Driving digital strategy and platform management:

Beyond design and content, Innovety led the digital strategy and platform management, ensuring EgyptInnovate became a vibrant hub.

We continuously curated fresh content, updated features, and drove outreach to universities, startups, and corporates, positioning the platform as the primary destination for Egypt’s innovation community.

In parallel, we developed a financial sustainability strategy to ensure the platform’s long-term viability beyond donor funding, outlining potential revenue models, strategic partnerships, and monetization pathways to support continued growth.
