Innovety has partnered with export councils, development agencies, and international organizations to strengthen the export capabilities of SMEs across Lebanon, Jordan, and Egypt. From designing Lebanon’s first Export Academy for the agri-food sector, to equipping Jordan’s women-led SMEs with tailored coaching and buyer matchmaking, to building Egypt’s first virtual exhibition platform for engineering companies, our programs bridge local businesses with global markets. Each initiative is designed to unlock international opportunities, enhance competitiveness, and generate foreign currency inflows critical to economic resilience.
Our beneficiaries include SMEs, women entrepreneurs, sector associations, and business advisors who are now equipped with practical tools for market entry, trade promotion, and global visibility. By combining export-readiness training, matchmaking, digital platforms, and mentorship, we have enabled companies to diversify markets, scale sustainably, and strengthen their role in inclusive economic growth.
To support its ambition of achieving USD 5 billion in exports by 2017, the Engineering Export Council of Egypt (EEEC) sought to enhance the visibility of its 250 member organizations internationally. Innovety was engaged to build a comprehensive member database and create a virtual exhibition platform, enabling global buyers to easily discover, connect with, and engage Egyptian engineering companies.
Innovety conducted extensive data collection through field visits, interviews, and online surveys, compiling a searchable database categorizing member companies by type, products, and export capabilities. A 3D virtual exhibition was developed to showcase member products interactively, serving as a digital gateway for international buyers. Ongoing project management ensured the timely delivery of milestones and a scalable system for future updates.
Women-led MSMEs in Jordan remain an underutilized engine for growth but face persistent barriers to exporting, such as limited market intelligence, weak networks, and insufficient technical capacity. Innovety was engaged to enhance the export readiness of 50 high-potential women-led MSMEs in sectors including fashion, food & drink, education, and retail. The program also sought to establish a network of 25 Business Advisors (BAs) to provide long-term mentorship and foster sustainable export growth for women entrepreneurs.
We designed eligibility criteria, selected participants, and delivered a 10-module export readiness curriculum combining group workshops and one-on-one coaching. Activities were reinforced with networking sessions and a hybrid buyer matchmaking event. To ensure long-term impact, a monitoring and evaluation framework was embedded to measure effectiveness and guide future initiatives.
Amid Lebanon’s severe economic, financial, and humanitarian crises since 2019, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the agri-food sector remain critical to economic recovery. Innovety was engaged to build the export capabilities of these MSMEs by designing and delivering a comprehensive training journey—enabling them to understand, plan, and commercialize exports—thereby contributing to job creation, productivity growth, and economic resilience.
Innovety designed an export-focused curriculum comprising 11 training modules and developed clear selection criteria to identify high-potential trainers. A multiple day virtual Training of Trainers (ToT) was delivered to 25 selected participants, equipping them with the skills and tools to cascade export knowledge to MSMEs across Lebanon.
Through the World Bank’s Mashreq Gender Facility, this project supported 50 women-led MSMEs in Jordan to enhance export readiness, strengthen e-commerce capabilities, and access international markets. It also aimed to build a network of 20 Business Advisors to mentor SMEs and foster sustainable growth in high-potential sectors like apparel, agri-food, and jewelry.
We identified promising export sectors, set eligibility criteria, and selected 50 MSMEs and 20 advisors. Training covered export readiness, trade agreements, e-commerce, and logistics, complemented by capacity-building workshops for advisors. Tailored coaching produced export action plans, while matchmaking events connected MSMEs with international buyers.
