Innovety has worked extensively across the EU-Mediterranean and MENA regions to equip MSMEs, corporates, researchers, and policymakers with the tools to embed sustainability and commercialize green innovations. From designing NexLabs and PHEMAC bootcamps that accelerate Water-Energy-Food (WEF) Nexus ventures, to supporting the BESTMEDGRAPE program that turned wine by-products into bioactive health startups, we have helped innovators move from early-stage ideas to investor-ready business concepts. Our portfolio also includes sustainability capacity-building with MSMEs in Egypt under UNEP, corporate intrapreneurship programs such as the UN Global Compact SDG Innovation Accelerator, and high-level workshops delivered during COP27 to align government and private stakeholders around green innovation practices.
Our beneficiaries include startups, MSMEs, corporates, and government actors who gained sustainable business models, IP strategies, and commercialization pathways to scale their innovations. Through bootcamps, roadmaps, accelerator programs, and strategic workshops, Innovety has enabled participants to integrate eco-innovation across their value chains, align with SDGs, and contribute to national and global sustainability agendas.
The UN Global Compact’s SDG Innovation Accelerator equips young professionals to become sustainability entrepreneurs. Innovety was engaged to deliver core training workshops to guide participants from 15–20 companies through structured innovation journeys, tackling real business challenges aligned with the SDGs and the 2030 Agenda.
Designed and facilitated four highly interactive 8-hour virtual workshops, combining design thinking, SDG alignment, and corporate innovation methodologies. Preparation included tailored case studies and active participation in UNGC’s TOT program. Each session fostered collaboration, cross-sector learning, and hands-on project development.

This project, implemented with UNEP, aimed to build local capacity for eco‑innovation in Egypt by enabling MSMEs to integrate sustainability across their value chains. It sought to develop new, sustainable business strategies and frameworks to improve competitiveness and reduce environmental impact.
We assessed the full product and service life cycle of selected MSMEs and analyzed environmental and economic impacts. We co‑designed sustainable business strategies with company leaders, aligning them with market needs and eco‑innovation principles. Customized roadmaps guided implementation, and lessons learned were captured to inform future applications.
This initiative targeted MSMEs, researchers, and entrepreneurs across the EU-Mediterranean region, aiming to strengthen their capacity to commercialize innovations in the Water, Energy, and Food (WEF) Nexus.
