Innovety has supported universities, research centers, accelerators, and foundations across the MENA and Euro-Med regions to bridge the gap between research and market. Our work spans designing technology transfer strategies, building commercialization roadmaps, and strengthening the capacity of Technology Transfer Offices (TTOs) in Egypt, Lebanon, and Jordan. We have guided researchers and innovators in transforming prototypes into market-ready solutions, equipped professors and executives with tools to teach and lead innovation, and developed frameworks for IP protection, research funding, and spin-off creation. By aligning research outputs with industrial value chains and market needs, we ensure that knowledge and technology generate tangible economic and social impact.

Through tailored bootcamps, training-of-trainers programs, commercialization toolkits, and policy roadmaps, Innovety has helped institutions embed innovation practices, strengthen IP governance, and scale applied research into viable products and services.
Misr El Kheir Social Incubator sought to strengthen the capacity of Technology Transfer Offices (TTOs) at Egyptian universities to effectively guide entrepreneurial teams through the full cycle of technology development and commercialization. The aim was to empower TTO experts with the tools and knowledge to transform innovative ideas into market-ready solutions that address societal challenges.
Developed a comprehensive commercialization toolkit and delivered capacity-building programs for five TTOs. Our approach combined consulting, coaching, and shadowing to help TTO staff master technology scouting, assessment, and commercialization processes. We also piloted real projects to ensure the toolkit’s practical application and sustainability.
This program, under the EU‑funded PHEMAC initiative, aimed to accelerate R&D projects in the Water‑Energy‑Food (WEF) Nexus by preparing them for market entry. It focused on enabling participants to explore commercialization pathways, strengthen their business models, and enhance their go‑to‑market strategies.
Designed a full bootcamp curriculum covering innovation fundamentals, market segmentation, business modelling, financial projections, and pitching. Innovety delivered a multi‑day bootcamp for shortlisted projects, followed by individualized coaching to refine commercialization strategies and pitch readiness. Virtual acceleration sessions provided tailored support to finalize go‑to‑market plans.
In partnership with the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre (TIEC), this project aimed to enhance the capacity of ICT MSMEs to understand, protect, and monetize intellectual property (IP). It focused on equipping businesses with practical strategies to leverage IP as an asset for innovation, growth, and long‑term sustainability.
Designed and delivered structured training modules covering trademarks, copyrights, patents, and IP in digital contexts. Private workshops guided MSMEs through patent searches, contract drafting, and applying IP principles to their business models. One‑on‑one consultations provided tailored strategies for IP management, commercialization, and integration into broader business objectives.
Misr El Kheir Foundation aimed to establish a structured, transparent, and efficient process for funding scientific research, ensuring alignment with its strategic goals. The project sought to streamline the funding lifecycle—from proposal submission to project monitoring—while safeguarding intellectual property (IP) and maximizing the technical and commercial value of funded projects.
Carried out a comprehensive assessment of existing funding processes, identifying critical gaps and inefficiencies. Building on these insights, we designed a robust end-to-end funding framework that streamlined proposal evaluation, project selection, and monitoring. Developed clear policies on IP protection, confidentiality, and ethics, alongside standardized forms, agreements, and templates to ensure consistent evaluations and transparent reporting.
In partnership with CARE, Innovety enhanced the innovation and entrepreneurship teaching capabilities of university professors in Jordan. The program aimed to transfer advanced knowledge, models, and best practices to professors, enabling them to integrate innovation and entrepreneurship into academic programs and increase youth employability through the Faculty for Factory National Program.
Innovety delivered an online ToT program using our “Know / How to / Do” framework, blending theory with practical application. Through interactive workshops, case studies, and post-training mentorship, professors were equipped with the skills to develop and deliver impactful innovation and entrepreneurship curricula.
With ASRT, Innovety enhanced the capabilities of Egypt’s TTOs and TICOs in IP protection, commercialization, and innovation management, while piloting projects to bridge research with market needs and drive economic impact.
Innovety delivered a capacity-building program integrating theoretical and hands-on training in IP management and commercialization, supported by mentorship and extended coaching. Three selected TICOs received tailored guidance to bring pilot technologies from ideation to market entry, embedding best practices for sustainable commercialization.
To bridge the gap between research and commercialization, the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) engaged Innovety to lead a three-day Innovation Bootcamp. The program aimed to equip researchers and innovators with the tools to transform research outputs into viable business concepts, focusing on business modeling, market validation, and financial planning.
Innovety designed and facilitated an intensive bootcamp combining theory with hands-on application. Through interactive sessions and one-on-one mentoring, participants developed business models, validated market opportunities, and prepared investor-ready pitches.
Technology Transfer Offices (TTOs) are essential in transforming research outputs into commercially viable products or services through intellectual property management, licensing, and spin-offs. To strengthen this role, Innovety supported the American University of Beirut (AUB) by building the innovation management capacities of its TTO staff, who primarily come from research backgrounds.
Innovety delivered tailored capacity-building workshops focused on innovation fundamentals. These sessions helped staff reimagine AUB’s TTO business model, explore new revenue streams, and prioritize strategic focus areas.
AUB constantly attempts to develop and support local businesses and corporations. Innovety conducted several rounds of innovation strategy workshops to executives in different sectors aiming to teach them about innovation and develop their soft and business skills.
Conducted a comprehensive training needs assessment to identify capability gaps and designed an innovation strategy program tailored for business executives. The program emphasized building a strong innovation discipline within organizations and was delivered through customized executive education sessions, equipping leaders with practical tools to drive sustainable growth.
To maintain global competitiveness, the UAE government sought to foster innovation and entrepreneurship within educational institutions. The project aimed to assess and benchmark the innovation and entrepreneurship (I&E) ecosystems in universities and high schools, identify key barriers, and provide actionable recommendations to build a supportive environment for innovation-driven learning.
Conducted a thorough evaluation of the current I&E landscape in UAE’s higher education and school systems, benchmarking against international best practices. Using a tailored framework, we analyzed barriers, extracted global insights, and co-developed recommendations with stakeholders. A detailed roadmap was created to guide the implementation of ecosystem enhancements.

Zewail City University engaged Innovety to build the capacity of its staff through a Train‑the‑Trainer program. The goal was to enhance their ability to deliver engaging soft skills training, adapt teaching to diverse learner needs, and create impactful learning experiences for students and peers.

This project aimed to help the University of Saint Joseph (Lebanon) and the American University in Cairo (Egypt) overcome matchmaking challenges with industry. The goal was to enable these universities to identify and map applied research opportunities that address industrial value chain needs, facilitating technology transfer and commercialization.
Identified innovation champions within universities, trained them to collect and assess research outputs, and developed a value chain mapping template. These champions mapped internal research across industrial value chains, consolidating opportunities into a practical guidebook for commercializing university technologies and assets.
UNDP engaged Innovety to strengthen A‑Venture, an Algerian accelerator, by identifying gaps in its operations and enhancing its capacity to support startups. The project aimed to conduct a full needs assessment, develop and deliver tailored training on business planning and monitoring & evaluation, and build A‑Venture’s ability to better guide entrepreneurs.
Conducted primary and secondary research to assess A‑Venture’s operational and programmatic gaps, then designed a customized training plan addressing these needs. Innovety developed practical training materials using the Mission Model Canvas and M&E techniques, delivered hands‑on sessions to staff and startups, and measured learning outcomes through pre‑ and post‑training assessments.
To support student and alumni entrepreneurs in Lebanon, Université Saint-Joseph’s Competencies and Entrepreneurship Center (EC²) sought to identify sustainable business directions for its three satellite offices. The objective was to develop a framework for business opportunities that outlines essential services, partnerships, and offerings to help the centers foster entrepreneurship and achieve long-term sustainability.
Innovety conducted an in-depth assessment of Lebanon’s entrepreneurial landscape and EC²’s current position within it. Building on these insights, the team identified strategic business directions aligned with market needs and EC²’s capabilities. These models were then validated through collaborative workshops with key stakeholders to ensure relevance, feasibility, and impact.
