Our Impact in Action

Jordan Export Hub: Global Export Opportunities for Women-Led MSMEs

  • Services: Startup & SME Support, Socioeconomic Development, Export Readiness & Support
  • Location: Jordan
The Context

Through the World Bank’s Mashreq Gender Facility, this project supported 50 women-led MSMEs in Jordan to enhance export readiness, strengthen e-commerce capabilities, and access international markets. It also aimed to build a network of 20 Business Advisors to mentor SMEs and foster sustainable growth in high-potential sectors like apparel, agri-food, and jewelry.

Our Approach

We identified promising export sectors, set eligibility criteria, and selected 50 MSMEs and 20 advisors. Training covered export readiness, trade agreements, e-commerce, and logistics, complemented by capacity-building workshops for advisors. Tailored coaching produced export action plans, while matchmaking events connected MSMEs with international buyers.

Our Impact
  • Equipped 50 WMSMEs with actionable export strategies, improving their global competitiveness.
  • Built a sustainable network of 20 trained BAs to provide long-term mentorship.
  • Facilitated international market linkages, securing new opportunities for women-led businesses.

“Grow Through Innovation”: Sustainable Product Innovation and Commercialization in the F&B Sector

The Context

Launched in Oman by the Omani government in partnership with Innovety, this program aimed to boost innovation in the food and beverage sector. It focused on building the capacity of SMEs in product development, food safety, packaging, and commercialization. The program sought to help businesses validate their ideas, adopt sustainable practices, and improve competitiveness in local and international markets.

Our Approach

We designed and delivered a five-phase program on innovation strategy, food safety, manufacturing and packaging technology, and commercialization. Over 14 days of training, participants received hands-on coaching to refine business models, adopt international standards, and test market-ready products through validation exercises and mentorship.

  • Equipped Omani SMEs with advanced knowledge in product innovation, sustainable packaging, and commercialization strategies.
  • Enhanced participants’ ability to validate and refine business models, positioning them for growth in competitive markets.
  • Certified participants under the Global Innovation Management Institute (GIMI), strengthening their credentials in innovation management.

Industrial Innovation Center Oman: F&B Innovation and Competitiveness Program Service

The Context

In partnership with Oman’s Industrial Innovation Center, this program strengthened innovation capacity in the food and beverage sector. It targeted producers in beverages, dairy, meat, dates, and spices, aiming to drive creative product development, unlock new market opportunities, and optimize processes for competitive growth.

Our Approach

We introduced the innovation pipeline framework, combining opportunity mapping with sector-specific insights. Interactive sessions guided participants through product development, sustainable value chains, and business model design—refining revenue streams and value propositions while embedding best practices in innovation management.

  • Equipped participants with practical tools to design and implement innovation strategies across beverages, animal, and plant product lines.
  • Enhanced the industry’s ability to develop market-driven products and improve competitiveness in domestic and international markets.

Startup Innovation and Commercialization Strategy Development

The Context

ICT Qatar engaged Innovety to support a pool of technology-focused startups by strengthening their business foundations and entrepreneurial capabilities. The objective was to provide targeted training and coaching to help entrepreneurs develop their business models and plans, improve financial planning, and build awareness around intellectual property (IP) protection and commercialization readiness.

We conducted a full innovation readiness assessment, identified market expansion opportunities, and designed a tailored innovation strategy. This included specialized training for startups, entrepreneurship masterclasses, and coaching to embed business model innovation and ensure sustained growth.

NexLabs: Commercialization of Water-Energy-Food Nexus Innovations

  • Location: EU-Mediterranean region
The Context

This initiative targeted MSMEs, researchers, and entrepreneurs across the EU-Mediterranean region, aiming to strengthen their capacity to commercialize innovations in the Water, Energy, and Food (WEF) Nexus. The bootcamp offered practical training to help participants transform early-stage ideas into market-ready ventures with strong business models and investor appeal.

Our Approach

Innovety designed and delivered an intensive bootcamp tailored to WEF-sector challenges. Through hands-on workshops, participants learned how to build business models, develop financial projections, and protect intellectual property. The program also offered individualized mentorship, real-life case studies, and tools to accelerate commercialization beyond the bootcamp.

Commercialization Toolkit: Technology Transfer and Commercialization Capacity for University TTOs

The Context

Misr El Kheir Social Incubator sought to strengthen the capacity of Technology Transfer Offices (TTOs) at Egyptian universities to effectively guide entrepreneurial teams through the full cycle of technology development and commercialization. The aim was to empower TTO experts with the tools and knowledge to transform innovative ideas into market-ready solutions that address societal challenges.

Our Approach

Developed a comprehensive commercialization toolkit and delivered capacity-building programs for five TTOs. Our approach combined consulting, coaching, and shadowing to help TTO staff master technology scouting, assessment, and commercialization processes. We also piloted real projects to ensure the toolkit’s practical application and sustainability.

Our Impact
  • Equipped TTOs with a practical, end-to-end commercialization toolkit, enabling them to guide startups from ideation to market entry.
  • Enhanced the capacity of TTO personnel, making them proficient in IP management, innovation strategy, and business model development.
  • Accelerated commercialization of technologies, delivering 2 pilot projects and 6 mentored startups ready for market validation and scaling.

Sustainable Business Strategies for Eco-Innovation in MSMEs

The Context

This project, implemented with UNEP, aimed to build local capacity for eco‑innovation in Egypt by enabling MSMEs to integrate sustainability across their value chains. It sought to develop new, sustainable business strategies and frameworks to improve competitiveness and reduce environmental impact.

Our Approach

Assessed the full product and service life cycle of selected MSMEs and analyzed environmental and economic impacts. We co‑designed sustainable business strategies with company leaders, aligning them with market needs and eco‑innovation principles.

Innovation & Entrepreneurship for Youth: Organizational Innovation Readiness for Youth Entrepreneurship Programs

  • Location: Qatar
The Context

Silatech, a Qatar-based international development NGO, works to empower youth through employment, entrepreneurship, and capacity-building. To further its mission, Silatech sought to assess and enhance its internal innovation capacity to better support youth innovation and entrepreneurship across the Gulf region.

Our Approach

Innovety conducted an Innovation Readiness Assessment using an Innovation framework. This was followed by tailored capacity-building sessions to equip Silatech’s team with tools for identifying new programs and services that foster innovation among youth.

Our Impact
  • Identified 10+ new program and service opportunities to strengthen Silatech’s role in fostering youth innovation and entrepreneurship across the Gulf region.
  • Delivered actionable recommendations to enhance organizational innovation performance, aligning operations with its mission-driven objectives.

MSME toolbox: MSME Resilience and Digital Transformation in Post-Crisis Economies

  • Location: MENA Region
The Context

Implemented across the MENA region, this project strengthened MSME resilience during and after COVID-19. It aimed to enhance access to finance and markets, improve the enabling environment, and empower youth and women entrepreneurs in line with the SDGs.

Our Approach

We carried out needs assessments, co-designed a regional roadmap with policymakers, and developed the MSME Toolbox and ESCWA-DEPAR online platform. National and regional workshops fostered collaboration, providing MSMEs with digital tools, funding channels, and market insights for long-term growth.

Sindbad: Digital Marketing and E-Commerce Strategy for Travel Platform

The Context

As part of EBRD’s support for startups, Innovety developed a digital marketing program for Sindbad, an online booking platform, to increase its online bookings and strengthen its brand reputation. The project aimed to enhance Sindbad’s digital marketing strategy, improve its standing on platforms like TripAdvisor, and build the internal team’s capacity to sustain digital growth.

Our Approach

Innovety enhanced Sindbad’s online booking platform to boost conversions and scalability, implemented social media and reputation strategies to improve TripAdvisor ratings, and equipped the internal team with practical skills in SEO, content, and targeted ads to manage digital campaigns and drive customer acquisition.
